On October 1st and 2nd, rock band L’Arc~en~Ciel held a 2-day concert in Hokkaido as a part of their “20th L’Anniversary TOUR“. A surprise stage was prepared for leader tetsuya (Ba) on the 2nd in celebration of his birthday.
After the concert ended, 6,000 fans serenaded tetsuya with “Happy Birthday”, while his fellow band members gave him with a cake and a bouquet.
hyde (Vo) said, “Happy birthday! Since tecchan has a keen sense [of observation], I was worried you might notice.” Meanwhile, ken (G) and yukihiro (Dr) handed him the bouquet, as they exchanged hugs and handshakes.
n response to this surprise, tetsuya expressed, “I usually notice these kind of things, but I didn’t think there would be anything today. I was surprised! Thank you!”
tetsuya was born on October 3rd, 1969, and so he celebrated his 42nd birthday this year.
Meanwhile, L’Arc~en~Ciel will continue their tour at Nippon Gaishi Hall in Aichi on November 2nd and 3rd, then at Osaka Kyocera Dome on December 3rd and 4th.
